A journey to the capital of Tierra del Fuego is a must for visitors to Argentina. The southern most city in the world, Ushuaia is the gateway to Antarctica, one of the major reasons tourists travel here, as well as short cruises down to Beagle Channel, Cape Horn, and the various penguin colonies that line Argentina's southern tip. Hikers can also climb the nearby Martial Glacier and enjoy immaculate views of the city and coast. Within the city, Ushuaia tours can lead you along the colorful harbor, to the chilling Museu Maritom (a former prison from the city's earliest colonial days) and a variety of delectable eateries.
