About Upsala Glacier

The largest valley glacier in the Los Glaciares National Park, Upsala Glacier rests on Lake Argentino and is frequently visited by tourists from El Calafate. Though it feeds into Perito Moreno Glacier, it is steadily decreasing in size as ice chunks break off into the lake. It was named by the Uppsala University in Sweden who first sponsored a study of the glacier.
