One of Casablanca's busiest public squares forms the nucleus of the modern city center. United Nations Square, which marks the boundary between the historic Old Medina and the new town, is an elegant area of manicured gardens and has a striking central fountain. The square is also home to the Anglican Church of St. John.

Hassan II Mosque

See the largest mosque in not only Morocco but in Africa and the third-largest in the world. The Hassan II Mosque also has the tallest minaret in the world at 60 stories high. The mosque’s walls are made from hand-crafted marble and it has a retractable roof. The mosque is large enough to host 25,000 worshipers inside and another 80,000 in its surrounding squares. Its interior can only be seen through a guided tour.
