Located in the southwestern corner of the British Columbia mainland in Canada, the town of Tsawwassen is home to BC Ferries' Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal, one of the most scenic ways to travel to the southern part of Vancouver Island and the Southern Gulf Islands. The ferry terminal is built at the end of an impressive 3 km-long causeway that juts out into the Strait of Georgia, and features a large market with stunning views of the North Shore Mountains. Tsawwassen is named after the Tsawwassen First Nation, an aboriginal people of Coast Salish ancestry.
