Located at the confluence of Susitna, Chulitna and Talkeetna rivers, this Alaskan town is within the Anchorage Metropolitan Area. Talkeetna was created in 1919 and its downtown area is a U.S. National Historic Site with many buildings from the early 1900s. Points of interest include the Fairview Inn, Talkeetna Roadhouse, Nagley's General Store, Byer's Lake, Talkeetna Historical Society Museum and the Hurricane Turn.
