The magnificent site located in Cashel is said to be where St. Patrick converted King Aengus of Munster to Christianity during the 5th Century. The Rock of Cashel, which also is called Cashel of the Kings and St. Patrick's Rock, dates back to the 12th Century. It is made up of Cormac's Chapel, the cathedral, high crosses, a round tower and a cemetery. The Hall of the Vicars Choral features a museum with relics that were excavated from the site.
