One of the oldest and largest of the constituent colleges of the University of Cambridge was founded in 1448 by Margaret of Anjou, the Queen of Henry VI who founded King's College, and re-founded in 1465 by Elizabeth Woodville, the Queen of Edward IV. Queen's College is home to some of the most recognizable buildings in Cambridge and spans both sides of the River Cam with the world famous Mathematical Bridge connecting the two.
