One of Poland's oldest and largest cities is this important Polish commerce center situated along the Warta River. Poznan was established in the 10th century, however, it had been home to the Polan tribe for years prior to that. The city's Archcathedral Basilica of St. Peter and St. Paul is Poland's oldest cathedral. Other notable sites include the Royal Castle, Town Hall, Old Market Square, Cathedral Island, Adam Mickiewicz Park and Jesuit College.
