Nicknamed "The Steel City" for its rich history of steel production and "The City of Bridges" for the 456 bridges it contains, the second largest Pennsylvania city is situated where the Allegheny, Monongahela and Ohio rivers meet. Pittsburgh was founded in 1758 and named after British Earl William Pitt. Popular attractions are PPG Place, The Cultural District, Andy Warhol Museum, The Strip District, National Aviary, Mattress Factory, The Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium, Mt. Washington and Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens.
