One of only a few man-made structures in the U.S. where BASE jumping is allowed year-round without a permit, the Perrine Bridge spans 1,500 feet across and towers 486 feet above the Snake River. In 2005, Miles Daisher set a BASE jumping world record by launching 57 times from said bridge in a single day. Diasher and his wife organize the annual Bridge Festival and Parachutes for Kids, one of the highlights on the Perrine Bridge calendar of events. If extreme sports isn't your thing, the four-lane bridge has pedestrian walkways with views of the river and the cliffs, with the Blue Lakes, a park and two golf courses in the distance.
