The stunning 3.5-mile beach along The Great Highway on the west side of San Francisco is home to the attractions of the historic Cliff House, Sutro Baths and Seal Rocks. Ocean Beach is a popular spot for walking, flying kites, fishing and bonfires. Swimming is not recommended because of the water temperature and currents. Visitors still can see the remnants of the King Philip shipwreck during the low tide along the beach near Ortega Street.
