See the towering monument dedicated to one of Scotland’s most revered freedom fighters. The National Wallace Monument pays tribute to Sir William Wallace, of "Braveheart" fame, and commemorates Scotland’s bid for independence. The monument stands on a hill overlooking the Forth Valley and Stirling Bridge, the site of Wallace’s 1297 victory over the English. Inside you will find Wallace’s 66-inch broadsword and a 3-D audiovisual display of Scotland’s greatest patriot.
