The highest mountain peak in the Northeast United States is 6,288 feet and situated within the Presidential Range of the White Mountains in New Hampshire. Mount Washington is within the 60.3-acre Mount Washington State Park and views to the surrounding states of Vermont, Massachusetts, New York, Maine and the province of Quebec can be observed during clear days. The summit features the Sherman Adams Visitor Center, Mount Washington Observatory, Tip-Top House, a museum, weather station, gift shops and amenities.
