This stronghold of the Grimaldi dynasty is strategically located on a rocky headland overlooking the Mediterranean. Monaco-Ville, aka Le Rocher (The Rock), is one of four traditional quarters of the Principality of Monaco and its old town. Monaco-Ville is the only part of Monaco that has retained any old-world charm and its palace is now the private residence of the Grimaldis.
