Formed by a glacier melt in the late Pleistocene era, Lake Titisee is the largest natural lake in the Black Forest region and offers a wide variety of water activities including paddle-boating, sailing, swimming and diving. Just a short jaunt from the shores of the lake are numerous trails suitable for all-day excursions as well as short walks. Those requiring something a bit more curative should head to the spa town of Titisee-Neustadt, famous for its Kneipp hydrotherapy.
