About Kenai Fjords National Park

See close to 40 glaciers at this 669,984-acre national park located on Alaska's Kenai Peninsula near the city of Seward that contains one of the largest ice fields in the United States with Harding Icefield. Kenai Fjords National Park was created as a national monument in 1978 and then re-designated in 1980. It was named for the numerous fjords that the glaciers etch out. The park's largest glacier is Bear and its most popular and accessible glacier is Exit.
