Situated at Boeing Field at the King County International Airport, this air and space museum in Tukwila, Washington has more than 150 historic aircraft, spacecraft and relics. The Museum of Flight near Seattle began with the 1964 establishment of the Pacific Northwest Aviation Historical Foundation and its first exhibits were displayed a year later in Seattle Center. The Red Barn, which was the original Boeing company location, was floated up the Duwamish River and restored to be the museum complex in 1983. The Great Gallery, Library and Archives Building and J. Elroy McCaw Personal Courage Wing were added in subsequent years.
