The city of Fairfield is located in the Solano County of California, between the cities of San Francisco and Sacramento, located in the northeastern part of the Bay Area. The city of Fairfield was founded in 1856 by captain Robert H. Waterman. The city of Fairfield was first settled by Native Americans, before being settled by Europeans in 1810. The city is home to the Jelly Belly headquarters and factory and the Travis Air Force Base.
