The second most populated city in Oregon is also the site of the University of Oregon and where the company Nike started. Eugene was established in 1846 and named after the man who founded it - Eugene Franklin Skinner. Notable city sites include Spencer Butte, University of Oregon, Owen Memorial Rose Garden, Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art, Oregon Air and Space Museum and the Eugene Saturday Market. Eugene was a filming location for many movies including "Animal House," "Getting Straight" and "Five Easy Pieces."
