About Camden

Situated right across the Delaware River from Philadelphia, the New Jersey city has a popular waterfront area featuring the Susquehanna Bank Center, USS New Jersey, Campbell's Field and Adventure Aquarium. Camden was settled by Europeans in 1626 and later incorporated in 1828. The city's Nipper Building was the headquarters of Victor Talking Machine Company from 1901-29 and had the well-known "His Master's Voice" slogan. Other notable sites are Battleship New Jersey Museum and Memorial, Walt Whitman House, Camden City Hall and Campbell's Soup Company Headquarters.
