About Buenos Aires Cabildo

Once a central government building during colonial times, the Cabildo now serves as a public museum and cultural institution in Buenos Aires. Here, visitors are welcomed to exhibitions and displays of 18th century paintings, fashion, jewelry, and artifacts. Prior to becoming a museum, the building housed meetings about Argentina's declaration of independence.
