I booked the daytrip Drumheller tour and was pleasantly surprised. The shuttle is air conditioned and comfortable, and it's a convenient transportation option to hit up all the attractions/ points of interest in Drumheller. It was thorough ..and very organized, yet felt neither rushed nor drawn out at each stop - Just the right amount of time.
My guide was very friendly and professional, and a good driver. The only nitpick I had is his English was a bit broken so I couldn't understand some of his stories/explanations, but that wasn't a big deal.
Overall I definitely recommend booking this trip! Also - wear good shoes because there will be a couple desert hiking spots (at the hoodoos and badlands outside the Royal Tyrrell).Read full review
We took 1 day tour to Badlands (Drumheller) and all in all we were satisfied. There was a confusion at the beginning when we met at the Chinese Cultural Centre Calgary. The minibus was very small; there were people going to Drumheller but o..ther people going to Banff, which is in opposite direction. And the driver did not explain at all; he barely spoke English. We almost left the tour even though we'd already paid as nothing was clear at all. But then we found out that the small minivan was going to a hotel where we transferred to a bigger coach. But no explanation, we were worried.
But after that, everything went smoothly. David Ding our tour guide was really an enthusiast guy; he was involved in everything and he explained a lot of things to us all along the way. And the driver Ron was really friendly. We went first to Horseshoe Canyon. Then to the Hoodoos. Then there was a small surprise from David to bring us to the Drumheller Information Centre to see the biggest dinosaur in the world. After that we went to a suspension bridge and the latest to the Royal Tyrrell Museum where we had 3 hours to explore the museum.
Apart the confusion at the beginning of the tour, we really enjoyed our day. The group was really friendly and everybody was on time.Read full review
The guide was very nice but could barely speak English. I couldn't understand what was said half the time. There is also a hidden $9 per person mandatory "tip" that is demanded of you in cash at the end of the tour. You have to really read ..the terms and conditions to find that out. My boyfriend did not have cash on him so they dropped us off at a bank that had a 3$ fee to take money out. When we gave the guy a 20 and asked for change he pretended to not have any. When further pushed he magically came across some in his pocket. Overall, we paid for the tour plus $21 in tips and could barely understand the tour. Not impressed.Read full review
