Itinerary

Windsor 
Windsor can be found on the River Thames, just west of London. It is one of only 8 Royal Boroughs in the UK. A Royal Borough is given this status based on an express wish by the Monarchy. It's easy to see why Windsor has been granted this once you arrive. The market town is steeped in history and is home to Windsor Castle, a residence of the British Royal Family. Built by William the Conqueror in the 11th century, the Castle hosted the wedding of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, also known as Harry and Megan. 
You can either purchase a ticket for entry into the Castle or explore the beautiful, cobbled streets of Windsor at your own leisure. 
Stonehenge 
As well as visiting the stunning town of Windsor, the tour takes you to Stonehenge, a prehistoric monument in Wiltshire, England. Stonehenge is where you'll find the famous circle of sarsen and ‘bluestones’, many being around 13 feet in height, around 7 feet wide, with some weighting up to 25 tonnes each, with the heaviest being around 30 tonnes. The first monument at Stonehenge was a circular earthwork enclosure, built in about 3000 BC. There are many different theories as to how the stones arrived at Stonehenge, including them being pulled over 30km to the site. 
During your coach ride to and from each location, your professional guide will provide you with lots of useful facts, figures and inside knowledge about Windsor and Stonehenge. 
Expert Tip: Windsor is full of great cafes and eateries. I recommend Ole & Steen on King Edward VII Ave. The cinnamon social pastry is a must-try!

Windsor Castle closures:

  • Every Tuesday and Wednesday
  • 24-26 December Castle closed

When the State Apartments are closed the Precincts, Drawings Gallery will remain open. 
St. George's Chapel
St George's Chapel is closed to visitors on Sundays as services are held throughout the day. Visitors to the Castle on Sundays will not be able to enter the chapel or view the burial place of Queen Elizabeth II.

Pick-up Details / Transfers

Check-in time: 7:45am
Departure time: 8:00am
Return time: approx. 6:00pm
Departure point: Bus Stop 1, Bulleid Way, Victoria, London SW1W 9SR
Directions from Victoria Station to Bulleid Way: Exit Victoria Station via the Buckingham Palace Road Entrance, to the right of the Gatwick Express platforms. Turn left and walk down Buckingham Palace Road until you reach the first main junction. When it’s safe to do so, cross the road at the traffic lights and turn left. Walk around 20 yards, before turning right into Bulleid Way. Your coach will NOT depart from Victoria Coach Station.
Return point: Gloucester Road
Due to a legal working hour restriction for drivers, if your tour arrives back into London after 7:45pm, you will be dropped off at Gloucester Road Underground Station, not Victoria. Your driver will drop you off within a couple of minutes’ walk to Gloucester Road Underground Station. Gloucester Road is in Zone 1 and is three stops on the Circle or District Lines to Victoria. The Piccadilly Line also runs through Gloucester Road, where it is only 5 stops to Piccadilly Circus.
